the way I have SOO many screenshots in my phone from this book. never related to a book more omg
I fail to see how this book WON'T appeal to your average bookworm. Debbie Tung is spot-on with every observation about being a book lover ... from the hilarious things we use as a bookmark, to finding out what a book's title was as such. Her line cartoons are accented with monochrome washes, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them floating around before, so grabbing the review ARC was a no-brainer.

I feel truly seen. I feel validated. I feel happy and joyful and very very satisfied.
That's what I have to say after finishing this book and I can promise it'll be the same reaction from any book lover like me. But be prepared, this is for those book obsessed people whose life revolves around them, not the occasional readers.
Every page, every illustration, every line felt like something I would do or say or reproductions from my own life. I'm one of those who carries a book everywhere I go, would rather read in a corner than go out, and talk obsessively about books to anyone, irrespective of whether they are interested or not. And the gushing and fangirling.... I have never seen so much of myself on page before and I'm so glad this book exists.
My only disagreements - I would rather have coffee than tea while reading, and please don't dismiss e-readers - I cant imagine my life without them.
This book is the perfect gift for any book lover and I recommend this to anyone who wholeheartedly believes in the power of the written word.

I do believe that Debbie Tung is my spirit animal. Who else could understand my profound love of books?
However, I think this book is just a little too long with too much love. I will happily adore, embrace, remember and understand her love of books for about 50 pages. I have been in every one of the scenarios she draws adorable cartoons of. Believe me, I agree and get it. But, after 50 pages it gets repetitive. There are only so many different scenarios in which I can get all the feels in one sitting. If a reader were to pick this up and randomly turn to any page, read it, smile and move one about your day. I think it would be much more effective. I would recommend this for an adorable coffee table book. One that you turn to occasionally read a few pages, get the feels and put down. Otherwise, it is just too much.
A book about loving books... Of course I would be interested! I liked the art style and the humor of Debbie Tung, and it was fun to read so many situations that I can relate to. I read the book in one sitting, and even if I enjoyed it a lot, I felt like there was something missing. I felt like there were some repetitions of events, and I sometimes lost interest into it. I still loved that she captured so many unique situations in her 4-vignette template, as it was like reading tiny stories one after the other. Overall, it was a good read.

This book is what “I Will Judge You by Your Bookshelf” should've been but wasn't.
Quick little read to remind one why books hold such a special place in life. The ilustration style is adorable and since it doesn't have a story to follow, it's a great book to get out of a reading slump quickly.
A book of wonderful comics about how much we book lovers love books.
It has all the comics you need.
Debbie Tung really gets you.
It is about all the really important things.
Perfect Christmas gift.
Book Love is an ode to book lovers, bibliophiles and book nerds everywhere. If you love books and reading, then Debbie Tung's comics will be all kinds of relatable to you! It's a cute little hardback coffee table book that I can see revisiting over and over. Some are funny, some are thoughtful and all are relatable. She captures the things that make reading such a pleasurable pastime and a favourite hobby for many people who still enjoy sitting down in any spare moment to get lost in a story and fill their homes with those stories. Definitely recommend adding this one to that collection!
