Such a great atmospheric audiobook! See my full review video here - https://youtu.be/TXbRHI-bohI
This is a very good horror novella from Off Limit Press. It's about a woman grieving the loss of her grown son, who passed away from a car accident a couple of years ago. She spends every day visiting the site of his accident as a way to spend time with her remembrances of her son, but things aren't quite as they seem. As she begins to see things that aren't explainable and things start spiral out of control, just how much is she willing to sacrifice, to bring her son back to life again? Or is it really her son?
This was a very good read. Prose was excellent. The main character, Chris was well done. You can feel her pain and feel the gradual loss of control as the story moves along. The emotional impact and grief of the loss of a child is well done, as well. Also, there are some pretty gruesome parts in the story, if you like that type of thing. The ending was pretty good too, a cool surprise that I wasn't quite expecting. Definitely recommended. 4.5 Stars.

I get Chris was in pain. Losing a child is hard, I don't know from personal experience but I can imagine. The level of horror in this book is like a 1/10 and a lot of the times the stupidity is what takes away from it all.Chris obviously had mental issues before and after her son's passing. The more I read the more I was getting angry because the only one who seems to really care was her exhusband's wife. and then don't get me started on the damn boyfriend who enabled her. I saw someone comment about how they were happy that a man wasn't there to fix her but him being there was just as worse. I can't stand mothers like Chris for the soul purpose of she seemed like the mother who A. smothered her kid. B. was one of those moms who would have said her son was innocent if he had did something wrong to someone else. He was a druggie, supposedly, and by the way she is written and how her mother talks about him and her it seems that way. There are so many issues with this story I don't know how it even got 4 and 5 stars.
