La prosa rioplatense-barroca de Quiroga me resultó atractiva y pintoresca, sobre todo por el léxico referente al campo y lo náutico.
El nivel de los cuentos es muy irregular: algunos me gustaron mucho (La meningitis y su sombra, La muerte de Isolda, La gallina degollada, La miel silvestre), otros me resultaron indiferentes y un par me parecieron directamente malos, como El alambre de púa o Los pescadores de vigas.
Vale la lectura.
I only had to read one story, and it was for my Language class. The Suicidal Vessels. Weird story. Not sure I understood the last sentence. But I think I got the overall idea of the story. Maybe I'll later read the whole thing.
