Short Review: I read Encyclopedia Brown a lot as a kid. I decided to revisit the books when I saw that the author, Donald Sobol had passed away recently. They are good kids books. But there is not much subtext for adults. There is a nice old fashioned quality to the books that I hadn't remembered but was enjoyable. The plot clues for the mysteries are pretty obvious (or completely random).
