This read like YA but they were involved in some very extreme stuff.

It didn't seem very plausible that they'd get into Vitalis Barron.

Vinny was also very forgiving. I mean, I get why Wesley thought he had to do what he did. But he didn't really apologize.

That said. Would I forgive someone for potentially almost getting me killed /experimented on by the bad guys if he gave me a house? In this real estate market? Sigh. Probably. MOST probably.

But do I understand why Vinny forgave him? No. I know Wesley was remorseful. We got to see that from his POV way before Vinny even found out. But Vinny didn't know this.

So he just forgave him because ~

I read this expecting a fun & silly urban fantasy romance, only for it to emotionally wreck me. It was such a heartbreaking and accurate portrayal of grief and depression and the mortifying reality that in order to be loved, you must be known, in all your screwed up glory.

I don't care what I deserve, I want you.
