I Am Ruth

The story of Ruth comes alive in a totally new way. The pictures in the book are beautiful, but even more than beautiful, they make Naomi and Ruth into real people who really lived and really struggled. The writing sets the story of Ruth within the wider story of the Jewish people. So that we understand the cultural influences and nuances that escape the first reading of the Book of Ruth.

This book and the Book of Ruth have become so dear to me in the last few months that I can't imagine how I lived without this knowledge of her before. Her faith and her willingness to go where she was needed have become goals for my spiritual growth. I feel as if my life has been changed and this book was a part of that process. I can't recommend it highly enough.
