Great finale to a riveting series.
Loved the political intrigue in this one and of course, the HEA.
Looking forward to the Bloodlines follow on.
This final installment was a big letdown for me after how much I enjoyed the rest of the series. I felt like this book had a lot of filler at the beginning and wasted time on things that were not important than rushed the ending to the point that we don't even know what happened to a bunch of the characters we came to know and love throughout the series. I know there is Bloodlines that has some of the same characters but I feel like the ending of this book could have been improved.

4 stars, because I don't really like the ending. I always want to Rose & Dimitri end up together, but just like Adrian said, Rose left many collateral damage. Rose left Adrian broken hearted, Eddie with spot record of subordination & Sidney with the consequence from her Alchemist group because helped her run. It turns out those 3 peoples I mention earlier, along with Jill will have their own stories told on spin-off, the Bloodline series.
Like I said, I've always wanted Rose & Dimitri end up together since I started the series, but when Adrian involved with Rose then, I'm not sure anymore. Turns out I really like Adrian , and what Rose did to him was indeed unforgivable. I mean, Rose still aching for Dimitri & she jumped at the first chance once she knew there is a way to restore Dimitri from being a strigoi. By that point I wish she had let go Adrian, don't use his affection or money to save Dimitri.
But overall I was entertained because the book reminded of the first book were, funny, so many humor & witty comments along the way. Except the last part of the book of course.
