I don't know what's going on but I'm super intrigued.
Can't read it fast enough to know more!
Brian K. Vaughn is one of my favorite comic writers. Paper Girls is weird, and it's messy, and it's exciting. It also is surprisingly poignant in its portrayal of four diverse 12 year old girls considering its creative staff is four guys. Enjoying it and will continue to follow.
Loved it. Captured my attention from beginning to end! Now, I have to wait for vol. 3 to be released on kindle 🙁
After what I enjoyed from the first volume I'm finding myself uncertain only at Vol 2 about continuing. It's... giving vibes of “ok” and not great and I'm already notoriously bad at keeping up/finishing graphic novels and manga. We'll see how it goes.
I loved this, I felt there was no dip in quality from the first volume. The only reason it gets four stars over five is because it didn't make me immediately pick up the next volume.
Story
Another solid entry in this series. Some of my questions were answered, and then immediately replaced by numerous others.
I really like the characters so far, and the story has me hooked. I can't wait to find out what happens next. Thankfully I have the next two volumes ready to go.
Artwork
I like the artwork, but the colors are still a bit “off”. I'm sure it's intentional, but I think I'd prefer more vibrant colors. The colors are all on the darker side.
4.5 stars this series is so great! I'm loving the friendship and little/big Erin interactions <3
What is happening to Brian K. Vaughan? This series had a great and promising start, but the following was disappointing, didn't liked this one and I hope next volume will be better.
2022: Re-reading right after I finished watching season 1 of the tv adaptation.
2019: This is my second time reading this one because I am re-reading volumes 1-4 so I can read the new volume that just came out recently. And somehow I am loving these graphic novels even more as I am re-reading them. This one even had a reference to Narnia portals! I mean come on!!! It's a science-fiction story with time travel, all about this group of 4 girls, so I'm predisposed to enjoy it anyway!
