I just want to read a manga series dedicated to Sailor Mars because I like her the most out of all the guardians. Maybe it's because we are both Aries? I do not know why Usagi is the leader. I won't be continuing this series. Artwork is awesome though.
Because I watched the anime of Sailor Moon first it make the manga a bit rushed. But I enjoyed it really.
3 stars I know I read this series as a kid, but I didn't fall in love with it then and so there isn't that nostalgia associated with this series for me. I always have a hard time with mangas because there are always so many problematic elements. What the eff is wrong with Tuxedo Mask kissing Sailor Moon (a 14 year-old CHILD) while she's asleep? Anyway. I might continue with the series just because. meh.

Decided to jump in with a group of others to read this series. I wasn't a big fan of Sailor Moon going in and it didn't really change my mind coming out of the first one. For me, Usagi(Sailor Moon) is an annoying brat. She has no ambitions to really do anything. She cries for no reason and she just rather be a bum than actually do something. Why she is Sailor Moon? Hell if I know.
Another thing that bugged me was the age gap between her and another character. If they were adults it wouldn't really even be a thing but since she is 14... at the start... and when things get romantic it is just... ugh.
Will I be continuing on reading? Yeah. I used to watch the anime in passing on weekends and even though I wasn't a die hard fan when I was younger it is nice to get answers to questions. Yes, I could google them but I'd like to actually read on the story.
Will it be torturous? Possibly since it seemed like the first book never ended.
I loved the first act and all the info we finally got to know but the later acts felt a bit too jumpy and incoherent
