This was a pretty fun read. I wasn't sure with the introduction of Axel's parents, but it was nice to see how they handle life with the werewolf transformations. Some of the bonding time with Karen and Pepper were odd but overall I like them together.

The mystery was a little more obvious in this one. I don't quite understand why Betty's powers went haywire, but overall pretty fun. I'm excited for the next book. Seems fun.

This was so much more fun than I expected! Pepper is a great character and fun to follow. Magnolia Cove is a great place to visit. There were not enough clues to the mystery, but there was a lot of other stuff we had to learn in this first book. I am definitely going to continue with this series though.

OK this is just what I needed!! I can't get enough of cozy mysteries. There are just so many different subgenres to enjoy and get lost in.

Southern Magic was a blast to read. It's funny, has talking animals, witches and a dash of romance in the air. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this one. Oh and Betty? Have mercy...if my grandma was like that...
