I loved these when I discovered them on imgur and this book was even better. You'll finish it in 30 mins.
Loved it! Hilarious look at everyday life. Looking forward to reading Stranger Planet. Highly recommended for a light read and a big laugh.
This is a fantastic take on how funny everyday life is with a simple shift in perspective. The language syntax of the aliens tickles my funny bone. I will be enjoying this book again, like I have The Far Side books over the years.
This originally appeared at The Irresponsible Reader as part of a quick takes post to catch up–emphasizing pithiness, not thoroughness.

I'm not sure how to talk about this collection. If you've seen the comics floating around online, you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. If you haven't seen the comics floating around online, you're probably wrong, they're fairly ubiquitous.
Having these in one handy collection is great—this covers the topics “Young Beings,” “Friendship,” “Adulthood,” and “Recreation” from Pyle's distinctive perspective. They're great to dip into and out of—either in order or just randomly. I could (and have) spend too much time reading/rereading this.
What if we looked at our world through fresh, if alien, eyes?
How about a little more?
Do these images give you a positive emotional feeling? You must go to a place where thousands of collections of words and images are stored and provide the place with tokens of economic viability and take one collection to your own place where you spend much of the day.
I love Nathan Pyle!!!! Even though I knew most of the strips from Instagram, I laughed out loud all over again.
