After watching the BBC Panaroma documentary, I had to get this book. It has made me realise sooo many things. What I loved about this book was how simple it was to understand. And it also makes me rather sad that the medical establishment has got it so wrong. Fasting could hold the key to mankind's health - no joke.
I read this because I saw the Horizon documentary with Michael Mosley that looked into fasting. I wanted to learn more about fasting in general, but this book focused on his 5:2 diet specifically. I had been sticking to an ADF schedule for fasting at the time, so it was interesting to hear all of the benefits again, but I don't think I learned much else from this book that I hadn't already known.
It was a quick read and I read it the week we began the 5:2 diet. It had some good ideas and it was nice to see there was at least some scientific study on this diet.
