Meh.
Don't know what I was expecting, but this wasn't it.
No new information, more like the author's anecdotes than about how to go about setting up a workshop.
Don't get me wrong, how to use a VOM/DMM is important, but I was looking for ideas on how to set up a work space, what “basic” components to start with, how to “stock” a beginning junk box of components... Something that I had already gotten from other sources (and for free).
No projects (build a thermo-controlled soldier station, or some small diagnostic equipment to learn skills...?)
I think this information would be better served as a chapter in the next ARRL handbook than a stand alone book.
