I enjoyed this one more than the previous one. I found this last installment a very nice conclusion to a light-hearted and nice series.
The plot was more interesting to me: more action-packed and containing more revelations about Alexia's father. I was waiting for that since volume one! I also enjoyed Alexia and Conall's moments.
Regarding character development, I found also in this one changes out of the blue that made me roll my eyes.
Even if I am left with a positive feeling about some characters, I don't feel enough interest to read further series set in the same world.

Sadly, this book was, again, only meh. While the style is as fun and whimsical as ever, Gail Carriger doesn't really give us anything new. Literally everything we see here - except for Prudence, maybe - has been there in the previous books. And while I enjoy falling into her novels and enjoying her silliness, it's just not enough for me.
I really liked this series. I thought it wrapped up nicely. Can't wait to read the other books in this world.
I'm happy to finish this series. It was fun and good, but there were just a couple of things that didn't add up.
This was a great ending to a funny and action packed yet, in the end, surprisingly deeply thought out series with characters that often started out as hilarious cardboard cut outs yet evolved into deeply moving people who elicited the occasional tear.
With this series: come for the laughs, stay for the romance and (literally) high flying adventure.
Instead of reading the text version, I listened to the audiobook of Timeless and really had a hard time letting go of how annoying it was to have the characters voiced the wrong way. Never mind that those voices had only been in my head, it was disturbing to hear Ivy ditzing about and Connell sounding like a blow hard. I wouldn't have followed through with the series if I had started with the audio.
That said, I really enjoyed all the bits with the baby Prudence. She is wonderfully precocious and reminds me of my own little soul stealers. And I hope that Carriger eventually follows up with more of Prudence's adventures growing up.
I loved this series conclusion! I am so happyt to see how the characters lives played out, fantastic!

I won't deny that there were a couple of moments that had me on the edge of my seat, but overall this concluding novel felt like a letdown. There was just a lot of treading water going on, the plot just wouldn't move for ages, it seemed.
An audiobook narrated by Emily Gray Unabridged Audiobooks a multitude of shortcomings, however. She's just so much fun to listen to.
I'm glad I listened to this series, but I'm also glad that I'm done. It started strong, but over the course of the series, it kept getting weaker and weaker. A fun mash-up of Urban Fantasy and Victorian Steampunk, but ultimately unsatisfying.
