I really did enjoy this book - there's magic, witches (kinda my thing), and great characters. The only problem is the pacing. Dont get me wrong, I like fast-paced, slow-paced, and right-in-the-middle paced books (another way of saying I don't have a preferences). The thing about fast-paced books though is that sometimes they leave out too much. I wanted to see MORE magic, more witchiness, more...everything. Maybe that is a testament as to my enjoyment. But the book felt too hinged on going fast instead of inclusion of the coolness, which made me wanting a little more. Still a great, witchy book though in this reader's opinion.
This was fun to read. I would've preferred some more polished writing. And not revolving around the same
Liked the main character but the pacing was to slow for me and I didn't connect with the romance and Pike as a love interest
When eighteen-year-old witch Iris Gray accidentally enacts a curse that could have dire consequences, she must team up with a boy who hates witches to make sure her magic isn't unleashed on the world.
I loved being back in a world that Rachel Griffin has created and even more so a world in one of my favorite places, the Pacific Northwest.. It is so easy to get lost in Rachel's writing and fully immerse yourself in it. he has become one of my auto buy authors, and I only have a couple of those when it comes to YA books.
This is a wonderful story about getting to know people and putting aside your preconceived notions about them. It is also a story about forgiveness, with the most beautiful ending I could have imagined.
If you want a cozy book this one is defiantly for you.
Thank you NG and RB Media, Recorded Books for an early copy.
I always enjoy when characters can realize that their flaws can cause harm, and when harm comes, they fight back with courage, bravery and vulnerability.
Wild is the Witch is a fun, witchy coming-of-age story and perfect for Fall reading.
