I definitely would have read this in one sitting had I not foolishly started it the night before a work day. This has so many things I love: morally grey shadow daddy, enemies to lovers, found family, an interesting magic system I hadn't seen before.
I hope there's more from this world because I'd love to see more from these characters.
To note, it does have darker elements so this may not be for everyone.

As someone who is a fellow invisible illness suffer, I loved the dedication at the beginning.
I loved seeing the characters and the world. You get to see Vasalie's character develop as she adjusts to what is now her new "normal" (Personally, was very relatable) as well as Anton's development from someone giving F boy vibes to a more complex character.
This is the first time I can remember not actually knowing which love interest I preferred until it became obvious one of them sucked lol. The end was BUSY. TUGGING ON ALL THE EMOTIONS. I can't wait to see where the next one goes after the ending.

I enjoyed this. It kind read a little YA but with some darker elements. I liked seeing Dahlia's journey, seeing her and Caspien's relationship develop, the found family, and how music was incorporated into the magic. The end was good too.

I loved getting to know Reznyk and Kira and seeing them grow throughout the story. (Xavier too, even if he had his traitorous moments :P) The pacing moved the story right along and the spice and romance were perfect for the story. Looking forward to what comes next in this world!

“Well of course I love you, you dolt, but I don’t see how that has anything—”
Aiden was so dense at times I wanted to shake him lol.
It's always a little bittersweet at the end of a series. I think this was a great way to wrap up Penny and Aiden's stories. I loved getting to see characters from other books return and getting to see Penny's relationships develop with Aiden's family. I'm looking forward to what's teased to be coming next from this world!

Seeing that this was on the shorter side resolved some of the issues I struggled with. I think this would probably be a great fit for someone who wants a lighter fantasy. The magic system was pretty cool and I would have loved to have seen more from it. It felt a little instalove to me and I would have liked to see their relationship build up more.

This book FLEW by. There was so much going on and with the pacing to match it I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. I enjoyed getting to see more from Orcades, particularly with her running commentary on things. I also really loved getting to know more from Nyxaris and seeing Medra's found family expand.
Going to hide this next bit under spoilers just to be safe
<spoiler>I just don't like Blake lmao. He was a bit of an asshole throughout most of it and tbh after that dubious consent scene it just kind of cemented it for me. Still very much team Kage since he overall tends to treat Medra more like a person.</spoiler>
Overall a good read and I find it pretty unreasonable I have to just wait for the next one to come out after that ending lol.

This is probably one you should check warnings on before starting as it may not be for everyone. This had so many things that I loved.. found family, Death as a character, interesting magic system. You also got to see Khana grow as a character throughout the story. I could have used a smidge more world building but overall, this was a good read.
