Love a book that has a recap in the beginning. Bonus points for that lol.
Pretty twisty! I liked this one more than the first tbh. I thought Elowen and Sion had good chemistry. I would have liked to have seen the end fleshed out *just* a little more because it felt rushed but overall a good conclusion to the series!
“And you want to tell me, because if you didn’t, you would have wandered off to go loom menacingly in the shadows by now.”
His brow furrowed. “Is that what you think I do?”
Feel like that pretty accurately describes Mische and Asar's relationship lol. The slow burn on them was good. I liked Mische as a character. The world itself was cool (underworld/magical prison) and the cast of characters kept it interesting. (Loved Luce and Esme!)
It lost me a bit on the journey. The pacing felt slow and it kind of drag on at parts. Curious to see where the next one goes.

Throwing this under spoilers even though I'm being vague.
Tbh, to me this felt like a YA read with some spice in it. The pacing was good but I really struggled with the main female character. In the beginning, Aemyra was ready to kick ass and take names. As the story went on, she just kind of like.. undeveloped? lol. She kept making dumb and impulsive decisions without considering the ramification to others. She's in her mid 20s acting like this!
Fiorean was an asshole throughout and had he been less of one, I would have actually been shocked by the ending. It also kind of gave me the ick they were described as looking so similar.

While not a bad story, I just don't think it was for me. I liked the aspects of the found family and the slow burn romance (one spicy scene). Also maybe my bar is skewed but it didn't read that dark to me lol. The ending wrapped up in a way I enjoyed.
I really struggled with the pacing. It started out okay but then really slowed down for me until towards the end. There were a few times where it felt like the story just jumped and I found myself going back to figure if I had missed something. I think if some parts had been a bit more fleshed out this would have been a really solid read for me.

The dedication at the start made me giggle.
"I once let Emelin escape just to pass you a message, for fuck’s sake – wasn’t that enough?"
"To let me know you should have killed me when you had the chance, yes." The unholy glee in Naxi’s voice should have scared her, should have chilled her to the bone.
I enjoyed this. I liked seeing the enemies to lovers* relationship progress as the story went on while Thysandra worked to come into her own as a ruler. It was a delight to see characters from the other books, including the Labyrinth.
*Arguably only one sided enemies to lovers lol

It was neat to see how Paulo used his visions to try and steer things towards the best outcome. I also really liked seeing how Paulo and Laurel's game of cat and mouse turned into more. I'm very much looking forward to seeing everyone in the next book!

This gave me dark Harry Potter meets Gossip Girl vibes. I read this in one sitting. The world building and character development were great. I enjoyed the side characters as well. I liked the slow burn between Kiara and Lucian. (Closed door)
I'm hoping there's more because I'd like to see more from the characters and this world!

This was fun to read. The pacing was good and it was twisty in ways I didn't expect. (Probably why I finished it in one sitting!) I really felt like we saw the Ada grow as the story progressed. The whole secret world was really well built too. Looking forward to the next one!

I'm hiding the whole thing under spoilers just be safe. I was really looking forward to this and it fell flat for me.
The first half of this was really slow for me. I was hoping after the second of the second one Tessa would come in ready to kick ass and take names and she just... didn't. Tbh, she was kind of annoying to me for most of it. She did have some growth at the end but it was like pulling teeth to get there.
I guess I missed the memo that this was FMM but I'm not feeling it. Morally grey is arguably one of my favorite colors but I don't think Theon deserves a redemption arc. He's been pretty toxic throughout the series and told Tessa he never lied to her? (Maybe I'm remembering the other books wrong but I definitely feel like he did, often. Or at the very least, a lie by omission) I much prefer her with Luka and liked getting to see them together.
The spice picked up in this one imo. I did enjoy seeing Kat and Axel together.
I don't know. This one felt it like it dumped a lot of information on us that may have been better suited to add to books two and four to get a really solid three book series.

I liked the concept of this as it was something I hadn't seen before. The story itself kind of gave Beauty and the Beast vibes but with vampires. I also liked seeing Sebastian come out of his shell more as the story progressed.
However, parts of it felt underdeveloped/rushed but that could have more to do with this being on the shorter side which didn't have the room for fleshing things out more. I also also a little confused at the relationship progression when they spent a good part of the story not communicating properly. (One of my least favorite tropes.)
Overall, not a bad read if you're looking for something quick and a little spicy. I just don't think it was for me.

Admittedly I had some concerns with the bully romance aspects of the blurb since that's typically not something I enjoy reading but I was willing to take a chance to see Medra's story continue. Is Blake a shit sometimes? Absolutely lol. I'd argue his bigger flaw is not actually doing anything when others were.
That said, I still really enjoyed this. I loved seeing Medra grow as the story progressed and her finding her new found family in Florence and Naveen. It gave darker vampire Harry Potter vibes. Got a little spicy in and in some interesting ways. After the way it ended I am looking forward to the next one!
<spoiler>Also, hiding this under a spoiler but I'm kind of hoping someone else comes in next book and Blake isn't end game :D</spoiler>

This kind of gave me witch trials meets Hunger Games vibes. It was easy to read in one sitting. I liked the enemies to lovers slow burn.
It did kind of lose me a little during one of the spicy scenes.
<spoiler>I'd argue the better spicy scenes were the ones she imagined or before they actually had sex. Like y'all are escaping but think NOW is a good time for this?!</spoiler>
I'll still read the next one, curious if it'll tie up some things hinted at in this book.
I was looking for something with spooky vibes and this fit the bill. The beginning was a little slow for me but it really picked up in the second and third parts. I also really liked the character growth for Zevander. Bit of a slow burn so there's not a ton of spice. Will read the next one though after that ending.
Definitely on the darker side, so check the warnings.
While I'm sad this is the last book in the series, I think overall it was a perfect ending to the story. (Even though Evander FAFO for a bit there lol). I'm looking forward to the bonus volumes and getting to see his POV!

This is probably a good place to start if you're a beginner. It covered a wide variety of different gardening topics. It also various ideas on how you could engage children with gardening.
Once again, I am both delighted and sad I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of this. To start, I loved the pronunciation guide and book one recap. Not only do I wish all books in series had recaps, I wish they all had recaps that entertaining.
Is this dark in nature? Yes.
Are the most deadly warriors in Elysian also up to shenanigans fairly often? Also yes!
I may have liked this one more than the first, which was already a pretty high bar. The humorous moments were mixed in well to offset the darker aspects of the story line. I just love this group of characters and how they banter back and forth with each other. They might talk shit pretty consistently or squabble like children but it makes them the perfect found family to me. This one is also spicier than the first as that slow burn ignites. [And Garrik's idea of a cold shower had me giggling.]
Can't wait to see them burn everything down in the next one.
Favorite quote:
“Well, we don’t need Aiden.”
“I take offense to that.” Aiden stated dryly.
“You were meant to.”

I enjoyed this enough to read in one sitting lol. The pacing was good and I enjoyed the characters. Definitely on the darker side at times. The spice is mild but I liked the relationship between Saoirse and Vane. I'm curious to see where the next one goes!

Actual review somewhere around 3.75 stars
This was a quick and easy read. The pacing was good, as was the world building. I loved the personality of Ady. I also liked the not needing to be rescued angle.
Where it loses me a little is despite enjoying them as a couple (and that they weren't instalove!), it felt that they moved a little fast from ignoring their feelings for each other to love. There is one spice scene which tbh, felt a little out of place to me since this generally read as the younger side of YA.
3.5 stars.
I think if you want a spicy story that's more light on the fantasy elements (world building, adventure) than this would be a good pick for you.

It amused me all these big bad warriors were afraid of Maxie. The book and pacing moved right along for me up until Evelyn and Kade's spicy reunion. Idk why it just didn't hit for me. Loved the tension with the other couple though. [names redacted for spoilers]. Ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so curious where it'll go!

I enjoyed this. I really liked the world and I thought the characters showed progression (some positive, some negative) as the story went on. Super curious where the next one goes after some of the twists at the end!

I didn't really enjoy this one as much as the first. It started off good for me but it kind of started to drag with the addition of other sub plots and POVs. Felt like there were a number of those introduced and it took away from the story for me.

I really enjoyed this and would have read the entire thing in one sitting had I not been required to go to work today lol. I liked the world and the characters. I also liked the inclusion of other characters POV's randomly throughout the story. Also did not see the twist at the end coming!
