Throughout these 11 stories, Heiny chronicles the ways in which we are unfaithful to each other, both willfully and unwittingly. Maya, who appears in the title story and again in various states of love, forms the spine of this linked collection, and shows us through her moments of pleasure, loss, deceit, and kindness just how fickle the human heart can be.

Delightful collection of short stories, linked both thematically (relationships, marriage, infidelity, words) as well as a couple recurring characters. Haven't laughed like that for a while.
More like 4 and a half stars. I really enjoyed this collection.
I have never cheated on a SO, and Heiny pretty much confirmed what I always thought: it must be exhausting. Most of the characters in these stories are having affairs, and almost all of them are cheating on husbands who are pretty awesome in their own right. I think it's meant to be an examination of happiness on the part of the cheating main characters. What makes one happy when one has everything else?
I really loved that one family appeared in several stories (oh! It's Rhodes and Maya! How have you been?)
I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite here. Perhaps, Cranberry Relish, in which the main character's lover from Facebook is moving on to a lover he met on Twitter. The times, they are ‘achangin.
Heiny's voice hit home with me and I can't wait for more.
