The first half suffers from the same problem The Whistler did, which is that it???s fairly repetitive, but the final third is strong.
I rarely give 1 star but I had too. This book was horrible. The lead character do NOT investigating. She just whines over and over that “not our jurisdiction” then bitches about her relationship. Oh a relationship that means NOTHING to the story. This is also NOT a mystery. There is only 1 suspect. I kept hoping some twist would come in but nope. Plus the ending was 100% Grisham realizing he was at 45,000 words and need to end the story before he hit 50,000. What a cop out ending.
