Amazing. A superhero story set in the 1890's with characters from classic stories. Even Oliver Twist was represented.
Vol. 2 doet een War of the Worlds: begint begot op Mars met John Carter, doet dan de invasie van Wells over compleet met tripods en alles, en ‘t is aan de League om ertegen te vechten. Dr. Moreau komt er ook in voor en via hem ook (egad!) de personages van The Wind in the Willows.
Enjoyed this. When I finished it I wondered how they could continue; it turns out this is the last “main” volume, although there have been some other offshoot volumes. Nemo is still the best.
I guess everyone has a bad day so this is Alan Moore's. Its unbelievable how the second volume went so dramatically downhill. The Alien plot was so obscure it just looked like Alan had a deadline to deliver the next book and he just stuffed whatever he could into it. And then he stretched it across 6 comics. Lets not go any further. Give this one a miss guys!
I wasn't interested enough to keep reading it. Mina was made out to be so annoying.
