I just finished reading this thriller psychological novel.I really liked it. It is well-written ,engaging and filled with plot-twists.It felt like watching a scary movie with no time to a breath.
WOW. I loved this one. The short chapters kept me engaged and I was SHOCKED at how many twists there were. This is the first book that I didn't want to put down in quite a while.
Wow. My mind. Blown.
The plot twist. The plot twist got me. I went from “What the fuck?” To “WHAT. THE. FUCKING. FUCK!!!!???”
The writing has got me from the get go. This book does not waste time, does not meander, does not fuss with the useless/mindless details. It just get there. It just hooks you right in. And you will still think about it after all said and done.
Love it it. Love love it.
One of the best thrillers I’ve read for a long time. Hooked from quite early on right until the very last page.

What a disappointment. It's too similar to “The Last Mrs. Parrish” (which I much preferred and which was released first and much better overall) and it's also too similar to “The Wife Between Us” (also basically a copy of The Last Mrs. Parrish by the way). You can tell exactly what the twist is from the beginning if you have read any of the two books.
I have read a couple other books by this author. McFadden is a great storyteller. This book in particular is split between 2 points of view. The author did a great job holding my attention, I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. There was twists and turns that I didn't see coming, but not overdone where they were too outlandish. I really enjoyed this book. I ends on a slight cliffhanger, leading you into the next book. I definitely recommend this book. Will be picking up more from this author.
6 FUCKING STARS
i adored this book from start to finish !!
absolutely loved the way millie was written, actually the way the whole book was written like i was so invested in the story????
i genuinely felt every emotions the girlies were feeling, anger, pain, FEAR
i literally threw my phone away to some point because it was so tense I WAS TOO ANXIOUS TO CONTINUE READING
the plot twists had me SCREAMING, and the ending was so beautiful???
it was just an amazing reading experience <3333
4.25/5. I don't know why, but after reading this book, I'm feeling a whole lot of “eww.”
4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
I kept hearing that if you read a lot of thrillers, you wouldn't be shocked by this one. I must not read THAT many thrillers because I did NOT see that twist coming!
Enjoyed this super fast paced, popcorn thriller and in the direction it went.
Looking forward to reading the next!
This book has to be bit off in huge chunks and devoured.
Minnie, is job hunting which is yielding very little result, due to a series of unfortunate events. Surprisingly, she finds a job as a housekeeper, which seems too good to be true.
The story unravels over the course, like petals of a flower, it goes deeper every page. It is not much of a linear story.
If not for a few elements, this would be decent 3 star thriller.
1) The revelation in the epilogue, which gives a new meaning and new direction to the story.
2) The sweet revenge.
3) The novel idea of hired help for domestic issues.
4) For once, men are getting hit on and women are getting rejected.
5) Humor
There is a surprise around every corner in the story. It keeps you edge. A really good highly recommended one time read (albeit slightly predictable.)
I READ THIS IN ONE SITTING!!!!!!!! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!! CANT WAIT TO READ THE SEQUEL OH MY GOD
I loved this so much. So fast paced with some crazy twists, that aren't completely original but were well done. This is the perfect domestic page-turner. loved the multiple POVs and really turns the whole book on its head when Andrew NOT Nina is the evil one!
Was this book interesting? Yes. Where the plot twists unexpected. Yes. Was I thinking WTF? Yes.
But I found it extremely overhyped, with huge plot holes and not enough of character development.
I mean how exactly does Millie fall in love with a particular person? Where are their meetings, conversations, stories? How do lots and lots of things make sense.
Yes, it's worth the read and it's a nice quick story but it had so much more potential.
This was good and enjoyable and the writing makes it such an easy read and hooks you in from the start.
It was a bit predictable but I still really enjoyed it.
A new favorite of mine. *imagine throwing this book to film/show producers and hoping to get it adapted.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang.
This is going straight to my #goodforher shelf. I did NOT expect this lol.

I read this book bc I saw that The Housemaid is talked about so much on booktok! The storyline is very good- going the the story through Mille's POV. But part 2?!?! I did not see that coming. The book reminds be a lot about The Last Mrs. Parrish & Verity!! But I feel like The Housemaid is the perfect mixture between the two.
Reading this book was FUN. I don't want to say much to avoid spoiling anything, but I had a blast reading this book. Started it late and then woke up early to finish it! The chapters are short and really keep you thinking, “I'll just read one more” until you've accidentally finished the entire thing.
